The tournament ran from September 21–27 at the OCBC Arena at The Kallang. Singapore’s 2026 edition was upgraded to WTA 500 status after staging a WTA 250 event in 2025.

Fernandez saves set point before taking the title
The final was closer than the second-set score suggests. Gibson held a set point on Fernandez’s serve while leading 5-4 in the opener, but the sixth seed escaped that game and took control.
Fernandez broke in the next game and served out the opening set. She then swept the second set, winning the final nine games to complete the victory in one hour and 38 minutes.
For Gibson, the tournament marked her first WTA Tour singles final. Fernandez finished the week having dropped just one set across five matches.

Her quarterfinal victory eliminated top seed Andreeva. Fifth seed Chwalinska provided her toughest test on the scoreboard, taking the opening set before Fernandez recovered.
Other notable singles results
Defending champion Elise Mertens exited in the quarterfinals, losing 6-2, 6-2 to Chwalinska. Third seed Alexandra Eala fell in the second round to Tatiana Prozorova, while second seed Amanda Anisimova withdrew with a left wrist issue.
Gibson defeated seventh seed Maria Sakkari 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 in the quarterfinals. She then advanced to the final by walkover after Prozorova withdrew, so their scheduled semifinal was not played.
Routliffe and Sutjiadi win the doubles title
Erin Routliffe and Aldila Sutjiadi won the women’s doubles title, beating Tang Qianhui and Xu Yifan 6-3, 6-2 in the final. The unseeded champions had defeated Sofia Costoulas and Gibson 7-6(4), 6-3 in the semifinals.
