Anyone who plays tennis knows the difference a fresh stringbed makes on a racket. We have previously talked about everything related to racket strings, which strings to choose, the differences between string materials, and how often you should change your strings. All of that is important, but let’s now look at the actual process and how tennis racket strings are replaced.
How a tennis racket is strung
Stringing a tennis racket is done using a specialized machine that holds the racket firmly and securely throughout the process. Before placing the racket on the machine, it must be completely free of old strings and checked carefully to ensure it is not cracked or damaged. Due to the high tension applied during stringing, a cracked racket can break suddenly and cause injury.

The process begins by inserting both ends of the string through the two central holes at the bottom of the frame and pulling them through toward the top of the racket.

At the end of each section, a knot is tied to secure the string and maintain the desired tension. Once all knots are finished, the stringbed is fully installed and the racket is ready for play.
